No More Nursy Naps

Since October of 2008 I have been pregnant and/or nursing.I have been pregnant for 122 weeks (2.33 years) and have nursed for 51 months (4.25 years) We have nursed in bed, on the couch, in the car, at the park, in museums, on planes, at the beach, in the snow, through flu and whooping cough, an autoimmune disease, emergency ambulance rides, and sermons at church. While I can't for certain say I'll never nurse another baby again, I know for now, this chapter in my motherhood story has come to a close. I won't say that I didn't cry like my puppy just died a little as I laid her down for her nap, but for the past few weeks I've known. We're done. Time to move on to new ways of love. New actions of affection.
